domInteractive vs Time to Interactive - whats the difference?

We saw that Google offers a many polyfill libraries for measuring and tracking First Input Delay(FID) and Time to Interactive (TTI) on analytics platforms.
but this does not come standard with GA.
However domInteractive is a metric that you can track out of the box with GA.
What is the difference?
Please help.
